As you may already know, the 2023 Fall Career Fair is just around the corner (October 11th and 12th)! Career Fairs are amazing opportunities for students to network with employers for internships, co-ops, and full-time career positions.

Below is a short list of organizations attending the career fair that have expressed interest hiring or have previously hired grads from the Statistics Department. Additionally, here's a longer list of broader organizations that have expressed interest in working with Statistics grads, even if the industry they’re in may not directly relate.

Organizations relevant to Statistics attending the in-person career fair include:

  • Analog Devices Inc.
  • Enercon Services, Inc
  • Farm Credit Administration*
  • Haas Automation Inc.,*
  • Kairos Power
  • Northrop Grumman Corporation
  • Parker Hannifin Corporation
  • Quartus Engineering
  • Tesla
  • Texas Instruments Inc.

Organizations that are bolded are actively hiring, those in italics are searching for interns, and those with asterisk, if any, are attending the virtual career fair as well.

Additionally in that document, is the full list of organizations that will be participating in the Virtual Graduate and Professional School Fair on October 19.

Hope to see you there!

Internship Opportunity for CP Stats Students @ FOX Corp!

Please see the information below from Jenna Harrelson regarding an internship opportunity for CP Stats Students at FOX Corp:

2018 CP Stats Grad here! I’m currently the manager of the Business Intelligence team at FOX Corp. We just opened our applications for our Spring 2024 internship (it is a paid internship, 16-24 hours/week time commitment but we’re flexible) and I wanted to pass along the opportunity to any current CP Statistics students. The internship is best suited for a current Junior, Senior or Graduate student interested in learning about Data Analytics in the Broadcast Media industry. My team is based out of NYC, but the opportunity is available as a remote internship.

Our past interns have gotten exposure to a variety of tools and different types of analyses, including Data Viz through Tableau and Looker, Data Automation through SQL and Python scripts, A/B and Multivariate testing and results, Data Model building, and competitive landscape research to name a few.

Here’s the link to the internship page: https://www.foxcareers.com/Search/SearchResults?jobFunction=Internships&language=en, the students can leave my name as the referral so I know who is a CP student.

Feel free to share my email with the students as well, I’m happy to answer any questions they may have before or after applying.

Thanks so much!

Jenna Harrelson
