Looking for a few good statisticians!

Looking for some paid extra work? Have a keen eye for stats and data science? Want to you use your powers to help improve STEM education? I'm looking for 1-2 dedicated students for paid positions to help with data analysis for some NSF funded research projects! Responsibilities include processing and sanitizing survey data, running multivariable regression models, and identifying statistically significant differences between data sets taken at different times. The underlying projects are designed to help tease out the effects of mental wellness on retention in engineering and computer undergrads, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on student mental health; so passion for mental wellness is a plus. Desired qualifications include: experience with R and popular R packages (including ggplot2), logistic regressions, good written and verbal communication skills, able to show proof of work eligibility to Cal Poly Corporation. Undergrads and Grad students are eligible. To apply, please send a letter outlining your qualifications and your resume (including relevant coursework) to adanowit@calpoly.edu!
