ASA Statfest

The American Statistical Association is hosting a multiweek virtual conference that is worth checking out: StatFest is a free conference designed to encourage undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups to consider careers and graduate studies in statistics and data science.  The conference will be running on Thursdays in September (the 11th, 18th, and 25th). The conference is an ongoing initiative of the American Statistical Association through its Committee on Minorities in Statistics.
The conference will include presentations from established professionals, academic leaders, and current graduate students who will help attendees understand the opportunities and routes for success in the field. Panel forums and graduate student talks will include information and tips for a rewarding graduate student experience, achieving success as an academic statistician, opportunities in the private and government sectors, and much more.
The conference website, which contains the registration link, is below. Faculty are also encouraged to learn more with the hopes of advocating for opportunities in statistical sciences among your students. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
