Hello,
My name is Logan Foster and I’m a junior here at Cal Poly. As part of the CP Red Cross Club, I’ve recently become aware of a national blood shortage that the American Red Cross has declared, as we’ve had the lowest number of people giving blood in over 20 years nationwide. As the vice president of the club, we’ve taken the initiative to try to spread the word and bring awareness to hopefully inspire students to give blood. Fortunately, as you may or not already be aware, Vitalant (a nonprofit blood drive organization) will be at Cal Poly over the next month for dorm students to be able to donate blood right on campus. Additionally, those who sign up to donate will receive a free T-shirt as well as a $10 gift card.
I am writing this email to ask if you could potentially share this news in one of the department's weekly newsletters, or however else you would share larger events such as this. I have included the general flyer with a scannable QR code to sign up, as well as a slide that contains more information such as the actual dates and times Vitalant will be on campus. Additionally, I included the dates and times below should you want to include them in an email or on any announcement page. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
