Hi students,
I'm pleased to announce that the Statistics Department has funding to support multiple selected students (up to $1500 each) to attend the Joint Statistical Meetings in Nashville from Aug 2-7. It is a great opportunity for students and statisticians starting their careers to learn from and interact with senior members of the profession. In addition to over 600 sessions (talks, workshops, posters), there will also be expos from many vendors and companies.
If you are interested in applying for department funding to support your attendance, please fill out this form by May 12. You'll need to log into the Cal Poly Portal to fill it out. On this form you will be asked to write, in around 250 words or less, why you would like to attend JSM 2025.
