DASIE 2026 Applications are open!


Fully Funded DASIE 2026 Program at Carnegie Mellon University


Applications for the Mellon College of Science Data Analytics for Science Immersion Experience (DASIE) 2026 at Carnegie Mellon University are now open! DASIE is a fully funded, weeklong program that introduces undergraduate students to the ways data is used across scientific fields and offers opportunities to engage with members of the CMU scientific community.

Throughout the program, students attend guided sessions and presentations led by MCS faculty and staff, explore examples of data-enabled scientific work, and participate in group activities that support reflection on academic and professional pathways. Participants are provided with travel, lodging, meals, and local transportation at no cost.

DASIE is designed for undergraduate students in STEM majors interested in learning more about how data is used in scientific research and related fields. The program is open to current undergraduate students and first-year master’s students enrolled at U.S. institutions.

Location: Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA
Program Dates: May 12–20, 2026
Cost: Fully funded for participants
Eligibility: Undergraduate STEM majors + first-year master’s students at U.S. institutions

All travel, lodging, local transportation, and meals are fully covered for participants.
