The Homeless Services Division in the Department of Social Services is hiring student interns to assist in the implementation of the 2026 Homeless Point-in-Time Count. The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a countywide, biannual homeless census required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Interns will assist in such professional duties as: communications, volunteer management, gathering, compiling, and analyzing data, report writing, data visualizations, research, federal compliance, and more.
Available Positions:
There are six (6) positions available for PIT Count interns.
- $20/hour; 12-15 hours per week; up to 12 weeks
- Hybrid work environment, telecommuting with onsite opportunity
- Ideal start date on or before the week of November 3, 2025
The last day to be considered for the PIT Count Intern is Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
There are two (2) positions available for Data interns.
- $20/hour; 12-15 hours per week; up to 12 weeks
- Hybrid work environment, telecommuting with onsite opportunity
- Ideal start date on or before the week of January 19, 2026
Applications for the Data Intern position will be considered until November 1, 2025.
