The Engineering Progressional Master's Programs (EPMP) in the George R. Brown School of Engineering and Computing at Rice University is empowering the next generation of leaders with strong technical and data science skills, creative problem solving and the ability to integrate across disciplines to address humankind's most pressing problems.
The Master of Statistics (MSTAT) is a non-thesis degree that offers customized and individualized programs based on the interests and career objectives of the student. All choices will provide balanced training in statistical methods, computational statistics, and statistical theory, and are intended to prepare the student to adapt statistical methodologies to practical problems in a professional setting. The program normally takes three semesters of full-time course work. Students are restricted to no more than four courses in their first semester, with three being preferable. It is possible to complete the program on a part-time basis too.
The program is available on a full or part-time basis and takes advantage of its location in Houston, Texas and the wide variety of industries in close proximity to the Rice campus.
Early applicants are given priority and are eligible for top-tier scholarships opportunities.
